Whitby Abbey North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast
Whitby Abbey North York Moors, Yorkshire Coast
Whitby has got to be one of the most loved resorts of the North Yorkshire coast and the iconic Whitby Abbey’s distinctive silhouette presides over the town from the East Cliff. The abbey is such a well known and loved landmark it’s gothic appearance and links to Bram Stoker’s Dracula has even inspired the events of the town. Sitting high on the East Cliff with great views across the North Sea I wanted this screen print to reflect the day rather than the gothic, whilst I was there with it’s washed out yellow grass and blue skies on a summers day and the sea in the distance.
